This major bank focuses on financing sustainable and major social issues projects. For example, limiting energy demand and increasing energy efficiency projects and solutions for housing associations for affordable and liveable neighbourhoods. The organisational culture is flat and informal, and you work through the agile method with supportive and open colleagues. Innovation and quality are central to this.
You will work within the Valuations team of the bank. Responsible for keeping applications and systems up and running for outstanding loans, reconciliation of valuations, and monitoring market data. Multiple financial instruments i.a. derivates, bonds, and FX are processed through these applications.
The team acts as an intermediary between front office and back office. You make an impact analysis with consequences for business processes and systems, and required capacity. It is your responsibility to communicate this information clearly to programmers and designers within the department. You work on an application extension that meets the needs of department and communicate the operation of the updated application to the rest of the bank in a clear manner.
You should have the ambition to obtain a profound understanding of banking activities, financial processes, controls and product knowledge to act as a sparring partner for the business. The role will provide you the opportunity to expand on your knowledge of financial instruments and obtain better insights the valuation processes.
To be successful as a Junior Business Analyst – Valuations you are or have:
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Financial Economics, Financial Management or a similar
- 0 – 2 years work experience;
- Affinity with Python and SQL;
- Strong affinity with financial instruments, banking, and financial markets;
- Interested in underlying technical banking processes;
- Competence to connect business with developers;
- Analytical, communicative, eager to learn, and creative.
