Are you ready for a 6 months (minimum) project in world of Machine Learning models and Financials Markets? Do you want to be the linking pin between Machine Learning Specialists and Risk Managers (globally)? Do you have experience in using Tableau? Are you communicative and analytically strong? Then the position Junior Risk Data Scientist is for you!
Our client is a leading global player in financial markets services. The bank has over 3 billion transactions being cleared on an annual base, meaning the amount of data produced is outstanding. They provide professional investors (including professional traders, market makers, brokers, and investment parties) access to financial markets and make it possible for these clients to trade in financial products. These investors are further supported in complying with law and regulations.
For this project, you will be working at the Quantitative Risk Management department. Your team consists of two Machine Learning Specialist who are responsible for modelling, validation, data quality and testing of risk systems, using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning techniques. It is your responsibility to process the Machine Learning model outcomes into Tableau dashboards. You closely co-operate with risk managers around the world (i.a. Amsterdam, Chicago, Singapore and Sydney) by advising and supporting them in the interpretation of the data in the Tableau dashboards. Meaning, you have the competences to both understand Machine Learning experts and the end-users within the business of the bank. You make sure that the process between both parties run smoothly and clearly.
To be successful in this position, the following should apply:
- Academic degree in Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Finance, Information Management or similar;
- Experience with Tableau is a plus;
- Affinity with financials markets;
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills;
- Able to explain complex data problems to an audience without a quantitative background;
- Fluent in English;
- Available for at least 6 months (with the possibility of extensions);
- Based in the Netherlands is a must.

Furthermore, you will get:
- A good gross salary package €3.000 – €3.400 (40 hours per week) (depending on knowledge and experience);
