Organization

Our client is a leading global bank in Financial Markets services. They provide professional investors (including professional traders, market makers, brokers and investment parties) access to financial markets around the world and make it possible for these clients to trade in financial products. These investors are further supported in complying with law and regulations.

 

Function

As a Junior Credit Risk Business Analyst, you will be part of the Credit Risk team, responsible for the risk review of the bank’s professional trader clients. The team is involved in developing strategies and creating reports on the financial status of clients, and how these align with the bank’s internal risk guidelines. They support risk relationship managers by conducting detailed analyses and ensuring that all risks are identified and addressed.

You will play a crucial role in identifying the risk exposures of professional trading companies and translating these into clear, functional specifications within the bank’s systems. You will ensure a comprehensive understanding of the entire data chain, effectively linking data, financial products, and associated risks. In this role, you will also manage and communicate with stakeholders across different regions, ensuring alignment and clarity in all processes. You will collaborate closely with the bank’s global risk managers, participating in meetings to take detailed notes of key highlights and actions, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to maintain the bank’s risk control.

 

Requirements

To be successful as a Junior Credit Risk Business Analyst, you should have:

  • A MSc in finance, financial economics, or a related field;
  • Affinity with business analyses, financial markets and credit risk;
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail;
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex information clearly;
  • Proactive, self-starter, and results-oriented;
  • Affinity with IT and data analysis, with a solid understanding of how data is processed within systems;
  • Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus);
  • Willingness to work internationally and communicate with global stakeholders.
