Our client is an international advisory firm that assists companies with critical strategic decisions in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). With a team of experienced professionals and a global network, the firm assists businesses in navigating complex financial issues on a national and international level. The organization successfully assists clients through M&A processes by combining a personal approach with extensive market knowledge. You will be part of an open and informal organization, while you work closely with colleagues at all levels. 

 

Function

As a Junior M&A Analyst, you will have the opportunity to advance in a challenging industry. You will learn how businesses make strategic decisions regarding growth, sales, and merges from a strategic perspective, as well as how these processes impact markets and business valuations. You will be responsible for conducting financial data analysis, valuing businesses, and structuring complicated transactions. There will be ample room for you to take initiative and contribute to the success of various projects while learning from the best in the field.

Your responsibilities:

  • Conduct market, business, and candidate research (buy and sell side);
  • Perform financial analyses and valuations to evaluate businesses and markets;
  • Support in preparing information memoranda, reports, and strategic documents;
  • Create intriguing pitches and expertly composed presentations;
  • Preparing client meetings and supporting the development of client relationships;
  • Engage with and lend support to various projects.

 

Requirements

To be successful as Junior M&A Analyst, the following should apply:

  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Economics, Business Administration, or similar;
  • Relevant internship experience in M&A, Private Equity, Debt Advisory or Venture Capital would be an added value;
  • Empathetic, analytical, communicative, proactive, and driven;
  • Team-oriented and eager to work in (small) project teams;
  • Affinity to perform financial and market analyses;
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive attitude toward taking initiative;
  • Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
